Born to rancher and oilman Edgar Bryan Kincaid, Sr., and his wife Lucille McKee in San Antonio, Texas, Edgar Bryan Kincaid, Jr. (1921-1985) moved to Austin in 1939 to live with his aunt Bertha McKee and her husband and folklorist J.
